QC Inspections
Inspections verify product quality against your QC templates. They can be created manually or triggered automatically (e.g., on Damaged returns).
Creating an Inspection
- Go to Quality → Inspections
- Click New Inspection
- Select product and template
- Set quantity being inspected
- Save — status is Pending
Conducting an Inspection
- Open the inspection
- Work through the checklist:
- Click Submit Results
Auto-Triggered Inspections
SmartWMS automatically creates inspections when:
- A return is processed with condition Damaged, Defective, or Destroyed
- The inspection is pre-linked to the return for full traceability
Inspection Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|
| Pending | Created, awaiting inspection |
|---|---|
| InProgress | Inspection started |
| Passed | All items passed |
| Failed | One or more items failed |
After Submission
- If no failures: stock is released
- If Major/Critical failures: QC Hold is automatically created
