Verified Warehouse Walkthrough

This walkthrough was exercised against the deployed API in a separate company containing only synthetic products and contacts on 21 October 2026. It is not a customer account. External carrier, payment, email and CRM actions were not invoked.

Setup and receive 10 units

  1. Create an active Site, then Warehouse under it; create a storage zone and receiving/storage locations.
  2. Import the sample CSV and verify 2 products are imported. Importing it again skips the same 2 SKUs rather than duplicating them.
  3. Create a receipt for 10 units of DOC-SAMPLE-001 with a valid receiving location.
  4. Start receiving, record the 10 units and complete the receipt.
  5. Open the resulting putaway task, assign an operator, start it and complete 10 units into location A.

Expected stock: 10 units at A. The receipt-completion flow creates putaway tasks; check existing tasks before creating another one.

Order, pick and pack 3 units

  1. Create a customer and a sales order for 3 units in the same warehouse.
  2. Move the order through its eligible Pending/Confirmed stages.
  3. Create a fulfillment batch for the order and release it, checking allocation.
  4. Assign the generated pick task to an operator, start and confirm 3 picked units.
  5. Create/open a packing task, start it, add a package and pack exactly those 3 units, then complete.

Expected remaining on-hand stock: 7. In the verified deployment, the task completion did not advance the sales order from Allocated. After checking quantities, explicitly move it through the permitted Picked → Packed steps. Review the generated shipment and mark it packed if still Created.

Dispatch and relocate

  1. Ship the packed shipment using test tracking information, then record delivery after confirmation. This test used no live carrier booking.
  2. Confirm shipping did not subtract the already-picked quantity twice: total on hand stays 7.
  3. Create a relocation transfer for 2 units from A to B; release, start and complete it.
  4. Review the inventory summary and the source/destination stock rows.

Final balance: A = 5, B = 2, shipped = 3; total received = 10. Task/order/shipment states were checked separately. Use Troubleshooting if an operation rejects its status or source identity.
