Lot Traceability
Lot traceability allows you to track batches of products from receipt through shipment, supporting recall management and expiry tracking.
Creating a Lot
Lots are created when receiving goods. On the goods receipt:
- Enter Lot Number for the received items
- Set Expiry Date (if applicable)
- Complete the receipt — the lot is now tracked in the system
Lot Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|
| Active | Available for use |
|---|---|
| Quarantine | Under investigation, cannot be used |
| Recalled | Subject to recall, blocked |
| Expired | Past expiry date |
Lot Events
Every action on a lot is recorded:
- Receipt, putaway, pick, ship
- Status changes
- QC inspections linked
Expiry Alerts
Go to Traceability → Expiring Lots to see all lots expiring within 30 days. Act early to:
- Prioritize FIFO picking
- Issue recall notices
- Write off expired stock
Recall Trace
Use Trace on any lot to see the full supply chain path:
- Which supplier supplied it
- Which warehouse it was stored in
- Which orders it was shipped in
- Current remaining quantity and location
