IoT Integration Built-in

Connect Sensors. See Everything. Run a Smarter Warehouse.

SmartWMS turns physical warehouse data — temperature, humidity, location, motion — into real-time decisions. No separate IoT platform required.

What Is an IoT-Connected WMS?

An IoT-connected warehouse management system links physical sensors to the digital workflow. Temperature probes in cold storage, motion detectors at dock doors, RFID gates, vibration sensors on equipment — every signal flows into one platform that already knows the warehouse layout, inventory, and people.

The result is operational visibility you can act on. Stock movement triggers task creation. A temperature breach pages on-call staff and quarantines a lot. A forklift idling for 20 minutes shows up on a dashboard before the shift ends.

SmartWMS supports MQTT, HTTP webhooks, and OPC-UA out of the box. Connect any sensor from any vendor — no custom integration project, no separate IoT cloud subscription.

What You Can Do With IoT in SmartWMS

Real capabilities running in production today — not a marketing roadmap.

Real-time Telemetry Ingestion

Stream sensor readings via MQTT or HTTP at any frequency. SmartWMS validates, aggregates, and persists every datapoint with sub-second latency.

Cold-Chain Monitoring

Track temperature and humidity per location, lot, or pallet. Automatic quarantine on breach, audit-ready event log for compliance.

Smart Alert Rules

Define thresholds, dwell times, and combinations. SmartWMS routes alerts to the right person via email, Telegram, or in-app notification — with acknowledgement workflow built in.

Live Operations Dashboard

Stat cards, offline-device list, latest alerts, and trend charts. Designed for warehouse managers, not data engineers.

Device Health & Heartbeats

Every device sends a heartbeat. Missed pings trigger an offline alert before the next shift discovers the problem the hard way.

Sensor-to-Inventory Linking

Bind any sensor to a location, equipment unit, or product lot. Sensor data shows up automatically on the inventory views your team already uses.

Why Run IoT Inside Your WMS

One source of truth — sensor readings, inventory, and tasks live in the same database, queryable in the same reports.
No middleware to maintain — telemetry pipelines, alert routing, and dashboards are part of the platform.
Tenant-isolated by design — multi-warehouse and multi-customer deployments stay strictly separated.
Permission-aware — IoT data respects the same role and warehouse-level access controls as the rest of SmartWMS.
Open protocols — bring sensors from any vendor; no proprietary lock-in.
Pricing that fits — IoT capabilities are included in every paid plan, not sold as a separate add-on.

IoT WMS — Frequently Asked Questions

What sensors can I connect to SmartWMS?

Anything that can send MQTT, HTTP webhooks, or OPC-UA. That covers most industrial sensors — temperature, humidity, motion, vibration, RFID, barcode scanners, scale heads, and PLC outputs.

Do I need a separate IoT platform like AWS IoT or Azure IoT Hub?

No. SmartWMS ingests, stores, and acts on sensor data natively. You can still forward data to your data lake if you want analytics elsewhere, but the WMS does not depend on it.

How is sensor data secured?

All telemetry is transmitted over TLS, scoped to your tenant, and stored with the same encryption-at-rest as the rest of your warehouse data. Sensor identifiers are tied to your tenant — no cross-tenant data leakage.

What happens when a device goes offline?

Heartbeats are checked continuously. If a device misses its expected interval, an offline alert fires according to the rules you defined. The dashboard shows offline devices in real time so issues never wait until the next inspection.

Can I trigger warehouse tasks from sensor events?

Yes. Alert rules can create tasks, change lot status, or send notifications. A temperature breach can quarantine the affected lot, page on-call staff, and create an inspection task — all in one rule.

Is IoT included in every plan?

Yes — Starter, Business, and Enterprise plans include the full IoT module: devices, sensors, telemetry, alert rules, and dashboard. No add-ons, no per-device fees inside your plan limits.
